Spring has sprung

Spring is slowly making it's way to our little valley in the Mountains.  The past few weeks have been a mix of rain (which we never see!) and nice hot days.  We have been out enjoying every minute, good and bad, and have not had time to catch up on blogging.  So here is a quick recap of the past few months.

PORTLAND

WAY back in March we packed up and flew to Portland for my Great Aunt Ginny's 90th Birthday party.  It was a wonderful birthday celebration filled with lot's of aunts, uncles & cousins.  Most of my mom's Canadian cousins came down for the celebration, and everyone got to meet Halle for the first time.  It was so great to see everyone and made me really miss being close to family.

While in Portland we got to see one of my best friends Amy and her husband Ryan, and we got to meet her adorable daughter Clare.  We also had a fun evening with Shane's aunt LaRae, Grandma Ginny & all of their family.  Everyone was thrilled to see Holden and meet Halle.

I was so busy enjoying the weekend, I did not take a single photo.  I wish our weekend would have been a long week instead.  It just reminds me that we need to get over to Portland more to see our wonderful families.  Miss you all tons!!

Until I can find some photos from her party, here is a photo of Aunt Ginny at her favorite...a Mariners Game!
Sara, Aunt Patsy & Aunt Ginny.  Happy Birthday, we love you!!

CAMP KINMAN
For Holden's spring break he was lucky enough to spend a week in Walla Walla with Grandma & Grandpa Kinman, without mom & dad!  This is his second time spending a week at "Camp Kinman", and he loved every second of it.  For his week with his grandparent's he gets to dress up non-stop, cook, do art projects, play in the dirt, and just gets spoiled! It's every three year olds dream week! He can't wait for his next visit to the farm.

Having a treat with Shane's Grandma Ginny!

SHANE'S BIRTHDAY
Happy 36th Birthday Shane! For Shane's birthday this year I surprised him with a brand new iPad.  The look on his face in these photo's is priceless.

"Are you serious"!
Here he is thinking "should we really be spending our money on this"
Here he is reading the inscription on the back

"Life Is Good.
Forever.  S, B, H & H"

Once he saw that (and realized he could not take it back) he loved it...and uses it every day!

EASTER

This year my parents were in town for Easter weekend, along with my Uncle Bob & Aunt Jane.  We had a wonderful time while they were all in here.  We even got a baby sitter one night, and had a fantastic dinner with just adults.  On Easter Sunday we went to church with my parents and then they took us to brunch at the Sun Valley lodge. Jane's son Ben was also in town, so we had a fun Easter dinner at our house with the entire Buchanan crew.

Holden opening his gifts from Grandma Gayle, while doing FaceTime with her.

Halle's Easter dress is called the "chicken dress" from Matilda Jane.  So dang cute!

Hearing some great stories with Ben.
We had a wonderful Spring, and now we are looking forward to fantastic summer!

Great pictures Becky!! I am so excited to say that my parents have a John Deer "kid" tractor too!! It was ours when we were kids, I can't wait for Drew to play with it when he goes home to my parent's place!

Love the recap!
