Green Nursery Article

Holden, and his room, were recently covered in our local "Sun Valley Habitat" magazine, showcasing the green aspects we incorporated into the space.  A friend of ours, Sarah Latham (a local Green Interior Designer), wrote the wonderful article on how to incorporate green touches into your kids rooms and covered some adorable green rooms in the valley.  The article is not yet available online, but when it is I will post a link.  In the meantime I thought I would share some of the amazing photos from the shoot. These are all taken by one of our talented local photographers, Kirsten Shultz.
I adore this photo of Shane & Holden. Holden's crib was purchased from Nursery Works, and is made with environmentally friendly woods and low VOC paint.

A lot of elements we used in his room had been recycled from other areas of our home, instead of buying new (including this chalk board).

All of the paint in his room is Aura (by Benjamin Moore) with low VOC's .

Holden has a lot of fun wooden toys and puzzles that are all environmentally friendly with green paints.
It was very fun to share his room and the ideas we incorporated into it for this article.  The best part about it though was seeing these amazing photos!!  Holden has since moved on to his Big Boy room, with a big boy bed, but it's so comforting to know that the nursery is already set up and ready to go for baby #2.  If it's a boy, life is going to be very easy.
